We'd wanted to go and see the Statue of Liberty, but alas it was still off-limits. We wandered around Battery Park instead.

By a fairly circuitous route, we ended up in Brooklyn Heights, which Joy immediately fell in love with. It's a plush neighbourhood, with a great view of New York.
